Key Responsibilities

  • Execute approved and compliant market trades and nominations in Power and Gas Markets. (Continuous market trading operation)
  • Ensure physical delivery of power through close coordination with power plant on generation dispatch and constraints.
  • Optimise and extract value as a portfolio basis through close coordination with internal and external business functions.
  • Support portfolio management activities in the Power and Gas markets.

  • Deploy descriptive/diagnostic/predictive/prescriptive analytics on business performance and market conditions to guide trading decisions.
  • Collaborate with other business functions to integrate market data into models and tools.
  • Analyse Singapore's regulatory and policy developments, and assess impacts to Senoko's position, strategies, and trading tools.
  • Keep abreast of latest market intelligence and trends to inform trading strategies.
  • Lead regular upkeeping, documentation, calibration, and validation of optimisation tools and systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Translate/operationalise analysis, ideas, and roadmap into practical tools, dashboards, and processes.

Requirements

  • Graduate student in: Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics / Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Engineering (Computing, Electrical, Systems, or related)
  • Experience with: Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn
  • Experience with: SQL and data engineering concepts
  • Experience with: Databricks
  • Experience with: Time-series modelling
  • Familiarity with: Optimisation (linear programming, mixed-integer programming)
  • Familiarity with: Data visualisation (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Familiarity with: Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
