Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of AI/ML models for: Price and load forecasting, unit commitment, and dispatch optimisation
  • Fuel procurement and hedging optimisation

Requirements

  • Undergraduate student in: Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics / Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Engineering (Computing, Electrical, Systems, or related)
  • Experience with: Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn
  • Experience with: SQL and data engineering concepts
  • Experience with: Databricks
  • Experience with: Time-series modelling
  • Familiarity with: Optimisation (linear programming, mixed-integer programming)
  • Familiarity with: Data visualisation (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Familiarity with: Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
  • Domain Knowledge (Advantage but not necessary): Power and gas markets, trading, or portfolio management concepts
  • Quantitative finance or algorithmic trading
  • Energy, commodities, or capital markets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
