Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control vessel load factors through analysis of booking trends and cargo forecasts.
- Implement strategies to optimize vessel space utilization while minimizing rollovers and overbookings.
- Coordinate with Trade and Commercial teams to ensure planned allocations align with market demand.
- Evaluate and analyze port and vessel operations performance to improve efficiency.
- Generate cargo flow reports to support decision-making and daily operations.
- Implement medium-term space allocations (TEU, Deadweight, Equipment Size) and enforce adherence to allocation guidelines.
- Balance laden and empty container movements according to the Equipment Repositioning Plan.
- Work with the Transshipment and Vessel Planning teams to ensure cargo is properly connected to final destinations.
- Respond proactively to network disruptions such as port omissions, void sailings, and misconnected cargo.
- Develop alternative cargo recovery solutions and evaluate cost-benefit trade-offs.
- Minimize operational costs related to vessel changes, shutouts, and storage fees through effective planning.
Requirements
- Minimum a Diploma Holder from recognized institutions, preferably in shipping or logistics.
- At least 3 years of working experience in transportation or logistics industry.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) for data analysis.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
