Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of Clean Utilities and HVAC systems, including process glycol chiller operations and other utility equipment.
  • Lead the Quality Event (Deviation) process, ensuring timely creation, analysis, and closure of all related events.
  • Manage Change Control processes for implementing modifications to equipment and facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and fault find malfunctioning equipment, developing preventive, predictive maintenance, calibration programs, and spares identification for HVAC and Clean Utility systems.
  • Review and analyze system trends to proactively identify issues and opportunities for improvement within continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop/revise operation and maintenance procedures, risk assessments, and equipment LOTO procedures.
  • Plan and perform shutdown activities in close coordination with the shutdown lead.
  • Lead continuous improvement or asset improvement projects (e.g., energy reduction) to meet schedule, budget, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical/Chemical engineering or equivalent Engineering Discipline with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
  • OR Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical engineering or equivalent Engineering Discipline with over 5 years' experience.
  • Strong technical and safety knowledge in Utilities or Facilities Management.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across teams and business units.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work under tight deadlines amidst shifting demands.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Strong equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Good writing skills are essential for investigations, reports, and proposals.
