Key Responsibilities
- To assist with the preparation of income tax returns and indirect tax returns
- To work closely with respective accountants for information for tax submissions and queries
- To coordinate the provision of tax information to external service providers as well as tax authorities
- To assist with obtaining tax information for tax reporting purposes
- To assist with research for new jurisdictions and responding to tax queries from management and local tax authorities
- To obtain information for ad hoc tax presentations to management
- To maintain tax databases and assist with roll out of tax technology innovation
Requirements
- Good accounting degree, CPA or similar country qualifications including info tech qualifications considered
- Knowledge of Python, RPA (UiPath, Power Automate), Power BI, GenAI copilot and other similar automation and analytics tools will have distinct advantage
- For Associate level, new graduate or up to 2 years of tax experience in the financial industry and/or any of the Big Four accounting firms
- For Senior Associate level, minimum 3 years of tax experience in the financial industry and/or any of the Big Four accounting firms and good knowledge of Singapore tax compliance
- Good interpersonal, communication and writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight timelines
- Strong attention to detail, documentation and organisation skills
- Willingness and ability for continuous learning
