Key Responsibilities
- Guide the infrastructure team in implementing server and storage solutions, serving as a technical lead for transformative changes.
- Assist the Head of Department in managing part of the team, focusing on compute and storage system practices and standards.
- Review technical architecture and cost models for infrastructure bids and projects related to compute and storage.
- Support the HoD in defining the digital transformation strategy for infrastructure, including server virtualization and automation.
- Contribute to governance by defining, tailoring, and enforcing best practices for server platforms, storage solutions, IaC, and automation.
- Support efficiency initiatives through automation and standardization to improve cost, quality, and delivery of infrastructure solutions.
- Drive adoption of modern technologies such as AI-driven monitoring, predictive analytics, and hybrid cloud.
- Own and update the cost model for infrastructure implementation, considering TCO for server, storage, and platform.
- Lead workforce planning and define hiring strategies for compute/storage engineering talent.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, ICT, or a related discipline.
- Excellent judgment, independent decision-making, and accountability.
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders with differing objectives.
- Positive, motivating leadership style capable of managing complexity and driving change.
- Occasional international travel may be required.
- Hold or be eligible to hold Singapore CAT2 Clearance.
