Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on robot perception, planning, and execution control to develop intelligent robotic systems capable of autonomous manipulation tasks in real-world industry applications, such as grasping (pick and place), complex assembly, etc.
- Develop and implement novel algorithms in robot learning, motion planning, multi-modality fusion, and robotics foundation model/vision-language-model, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the integration of AI-driven robotics into real-world applications, including autonomous systems for manufacturing, logistics, etc.
- Support and contribute to the development of technical roadmap, initiate new research ideas for proposal preparation.
- Work on interdisciplinary projects with other research scientists and engineers to push the boundaries of robotics.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Robotics or relevant discipline.
- Good track record and research experience in robotics, computer vision, or related areas.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to new areas of research and technology.
- Good hands-on capabilities in developing and implementing intelligence and robotics manipulation applications
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++, as well as AI and robot frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, ROS, etc)
