Key Responsibilities
- Inspection and supervision of contractor works such as laying of fibre optic cable, installation of cable tray, installation and testing of telecommunication equipment.
- Engage customers' request providing all requirements for accessing SMRT premises (Depots, Stations & Tracks).
- Attend Engineering Work Request forum/meeting to deconflict customers' applications.
- Act as an onsite coordinator to provide access for the contractor to work at our stations / tracks and to be responsible for their safe access.
- Ensure rules and regulations are carried out in compliance with internal procedures.
- Standby and attend for maintenance or adhoc activities as determined by department assignment.
Requirements
- Minimum NITEC qualification in Electronics/Electrical/Data Communication discipline; or Minimum 3 years of experience in cabling works with contractors will be considered.
- Safety supervisory certification will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well with large and diverse teams.
- Experienced user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge in data networking in configuring routers, servers and switches preferred.
- Willingness and readiness to perform duties at night during non-passenger service hours (2300h to 0700h) from time to time.
- Good oral and communication skills as well as be able to work independently.
