Key Responsibilities
- Own all software and firmware deliverables across BIOS, EC, drivers, applications, and image readiness from concept to end of service, applicable across NPI and Sustaining.
- Define and manage overall CQ Refresh software/firmware deliverables (SW, SW Drivers, BIOS, EC, HW Drivers), SCT Validation, and release schedules leading to timely Web Softpaq publication and RTM release to factories. Ensure alignment with System Team and cross-functional teams across SW/FW/Driver solution readiness and HW readiness.
- Manage ODM SEPM resources and capabilities. Define engagement models, audit deliverables, and ensure ODMs meet HP quality and schedule expectations. Collaborate with ODM SEPMs to review PRL, align on CQ POR, and track deliverables. Govern ODM execution through RACI models, SOW refinement and milestone audits.
- Drive debugging, RCA and resolution of SW/SW Driver/OS/Application issues and support HEPM/BIOS PM in debugging, RCA and resolution of FW/BIOS/EC/HW Driver issues. Manage 3LS escalations and coordinate with validation, system managers, and ODMs.
- Communicate and prioritize CQ scope changes (DCRs, BCRs, Security, 3LS, ISV, IHVs, Factories, SC, Commodities etc) schedule changes, negotiate options, and coordinate phase-in schedules with x-functional stakeholders.
- Collaborates with system managers, validation, ODMs, and PMkt, Core Tech Mkt, Solutions Architect, Legal teams to align on SW/FW/Drivers and regulatory deliverables. Supports escalations and customer-specific requirements (e.g., Huawei SELA/BSTA discussions).
- Support development and adoption of automation tools to improve operational efficiency (UNICORN : Live Platforms list, CQ Dashboard, DCR Dashboard, Issues Dashboard, 3LS Dashboard).
- Drive strong governance and process discipline in timely execution, milestones adherence, tools (sharepoint), documentation, traceability, and process adherence. Maintain accurate PRL, ERD, image definitions, and update Pulsar and other tracking systems. Maintain program dashboards, RTM & WEB trackers, and issue logs. Communicate status, risks, and escalations to stakeholders and executives.
- Represent software and firmware status in system team meetings and Collaborate with system managers, TPMs, and validation leads to align on qualification timelines, DCR/BCR processes, and platform readiness.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
Requirements
- Graduate, Master or higher Degree in Computer Science, SW engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or any other related engineering discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
