Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with corporate income tax, GST / VAT, withholding tax and transfer pricing requirements; handle tax audits and controversy in the region
  • Oversee the development and review of transfer pricing documentation in Asia Pacific; work with transfer pricing experts to address controversy and manage transfer pricing risk proactively
  • Drive tax governance and policy; manage tax risk proactively and maintain effective controls
  • Partner with Finance, Legal and Business Units across the organization to align tax strategies; ensure clear communication towards stakeholders
  • Mentor, coach and develop tax professionals within Singapore and the wider team; foster a culture of collaboration, learning and high performance; lead cross-functional and cross-jurisdictional project teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance or related field
  • Professional qualification (such as CPA, CTA or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant tax experience, ideally with Big4, multinational corporations or regional tax roles
  • Deep understanding of Asia Pacific tax regimes, including corporate tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing
  • Strong technical proficiency with Singapore tax law and familiarity with major Asia Pacific jurisdictions (ASEAN, Korea, India, etc)
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Prior exposure to tax technology and automation tools
  • Experience with BEPS Pillar 2 and other global tax developments
