Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, fabrication, and measurements of electronic (and optical) quantum devices based on low-dimensional materials
- Establish fabrication recipes and material processing capabilities within the research group
- Set up cryostat for electrical, optical, and magneto-transport measurements and establish measurement protocols
- Oversee equipment maintenance and capability upgrade
- Lead electrical and optical measurements and analyze data
- Lead filing of technology disclosures and technical documentation
Requirements
- PhD in Material Science, Chemistry, Physics/Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering or related fields with at least 3 years of experience
- Experimental expertise with low-dimensional materials
- Experimental expertise with measurements, analysis, and interpretation of classical, quantum, and topological charge transport
- Experimental expertise with operation and maintenance of dilution refrigerators
- Experimental expertise with nanofabrication techniques such as lithography, thin film deposition, plasma etching and 2D material processing
- Experience with software programming (Labview and/or Python)
- Able to independently plan and execute research
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Strong collaborative spirit and teamwork
