Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians to provide PM & CM activities in ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations & comply to contractual & legal obligations.
  • Plan Mechanical Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities & schedule accordingly in line with manufacturer's recommendation and process requirements. The PM works including but not limited to pump/ equipment check & maintain, troubleshooting, repair and replacement of parts / equipment etc.
  • File all maintenance and calibration records properly and update the PM & CM master list regularly (database). Prepare monthly report per O&M procedure.
  • Coordinate with Operations team and carry out rectification works as per issued Job Request order, in a timely and safe manner. Assist plant during urgent/shutdown works, even beyond normal hours.
  • Assist and guide external contractors in carrying out their regular/ad hoc maintenance contracts, ensuring these external contractors adhere to the plant's HSE safety, operations procedure & quality of works done. (All the field works approval must be coordinated by the GoArc PTW system)
  • Strive to comply with ISO 9001,14001,45001, 37001 and PUB MEICA audit standards. Develop and maintain Work Instructions (WI), Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and Risk assessment (RA) pertaining to mechanical trade work scope. Regularly update the documents with inputs from Maintenance and HSE team.
  • Provide guidance and training to ensure all staffs understand their maintenance work scope and comply with O&M procedure and EHS requirement.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed spare parts., especially critical spare parts ROP etc.
  • Receive and perform QC check on incoming spare parts/consumable delivery. Practice prudent inventory management to optimize cost effectiveness and plant availability.
  • Plan and coordinate MF/RO membrane replacements and troubleshooting out of spec membranes.
  • Raise normal /emergency Purchase Requisition in the Ariba system as per plant requirements and follow-up with procurement till PO issuance.
  • Work with Procurement for award of mechanical maintenance contracts. Conduct technical bid analysis to ensure award to deserving contractors with good track record and safety.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in mechanical and rotary equipment for Diploma holder.
  • Prior experience in NEWater and waste water treatment process will be advantageous.
  • Able to read engineering drawings, computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office.
  • Possess good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety procedures will be advantageous.
  • Possess good interpersonal communication skills and a strong team-player.
  • Able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • This is a 2 years contract position.
