Key Responsibilities
- Engage clients in mainframe discovery, assessment, and modernization discussions.
- Partner with Client Account Teams to shape modernization opportunities from discovery through proposal.
- Communicate modernization strategies, trade-offs, risks, and transformation approaches to technical and business stakeholders.
- Support RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and executive presentations.
- Contribute to business case development including cost, risk reduction, agility, and talent sustainability.
- Conduct technical assessments of existing mainframe applications, infrastructure, and dependencies.
- Build demos, prototypes, or proof-of-value (PoV) solutions using AWS Mainframe Modernization services.
- Design AWS-based modernization architectures aligned with client constraints and risk appetite.
- Apply modernization strategies including retain, rehost, replatform, refactor, re-imagine, and retire.
- Act as a trusted modernization advisor to client architects, infrastructure leaders, and executives.
Requirements
- Experience in pre-sales, solutioning, or client-facing technical roles.
- Hands-on Assessment (mainframe applications, infrastructure, and dependencies) experience.
- Demo & PoV Development capability.
- Strong understanding of mainframe platforms, legacy applications, and batch processing.
- Hands-on experience in mainframe or legacy system modernization/migration.
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services and modernization patterns.
- Ability to communicate legacy-to-cloud transformation strategies to senior stakeholders.
