Key Responsibilities

  • Solve complex, novel, and non-recurring problems; initiate significant changes to existing processes/methods and lead development and implementation

  • Develop and apply new debug techniques to enhance technical depth in Product and Test Engineering

  • Upscale overall team capabilities on low-level system debug for both the AMD server enterprise product families
  • Drive technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities across debug effectiveness, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years relevant industry experience
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in system-level debug
  • Comfortable working with hardware, firmware, and software interactions
  • Solid understanding of high-speed digital design, signal integrity, DDR memory, and standard interfaces (PCIe, USB, SATA, xGMI)
  • Knowledge of BIOS, Firmware, OS, and driver interactions at the system level
  • Strong understanding of x86 CPU architecture
  • Programming/scripting skills (C, C++, Perl, Ruby, Python)
  • Proficiency with Windows, Unix, and Linux environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
