Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership and provide functional leadership over critical components of the Artificial Intelligence technology stack.
- Ensure that all architectural decisions support the strategic objectives of Rolls-Royce Power Systems and enable successful delivery of Artificial Intelligence initiatives.
- Drive enterprise-wide adoption of agent-based Artificial Intelligence within the software and Artificial Intelligence lifecycle.
- Ensure that all employees affected by new Artificial Intelligence technologies receive the necessary enablement and training.
- Develop, implement, and maintain scalable Artificial Intelligence architectures that can operate across edge environments, cloud environments, and on-premises environments.
- Build robust technical frameworks to support seamless integration and communication among Artificial Intelligence products and services.
- Guide internal and external developers, providing clear technical direction to resolve dependencies, manage interfaces, and remove impediments that slow down development.
- Serve as the technical advisor for product owners, providing expert input on requirements, planning, and solution design.
- Work closely with product owners, design teams, and shared services teams to ensure that all Artificial Intelligence components are aligned with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Provide architectural consulting and ensure that technical solutions are feasible, sustainable, and future proof.
- Actively participate in agile development processes and help foster a self-organizing and high-performing team culture.
- Promote engineering excellence and disciplined delivery practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or another relevant discipline.
- More than five years of experience implementing complex Artificial Intelligence microservice frameworks and enterprise-level Artificial Intelligence systems.
- Proven experience designing, integrating, and delivering scalable Artificial Intelligence solutions within modern software environments.
- Deep understanding of Artificial Intelligence design patterns, Machine Learning methodologies, statistical modelling, and Generative Artificial Intelligence techniques.
- Hands-on experience in applying agent-based frameworks and developing both single-agent and multi-agent Artificial Intelligence systems.
- Strong data processing knowledge for Artificial Intelligence microservices, enabling efficient and reliable data flow across systems.
- Experience with modern software development practices and microservice-based architecture.
- Strong expertise in: Apache Spark using the Python programming language Apache Kafka Hadoop ecosystems Big data storage formats and distributed data processing
- Demonstrated ability to deliver robust data processing pipelines suitable for large-scale Artificial Intelligence workloads.
- Curious, independent, and proactive mindset with a passion for exploring new technological and methodological approaches.
- Strong interest in understanding customer business needs and operational processes to design meaningful Artificial Intelligence solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience and comfortable working in a matrix reporting multinational organization environment, being able to contribute effectively both to the local hiring organization and the remote domain functional leadership.
