Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of compelling, differentiated technical narratives that connect AWS capabilities to customer business priorities — driving pipeline, accelerating deal velocity, and supporting revenue growth.
  • Represent AWS at major industry events, government engagements, and thought leadership forums across the region.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a large, geographically distributed organisation of technical leaders and Solutions Architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence, customer obsession, and continuous innovation.
  • Build the next generation of AWS technical leaders through coaching, sponsorship, and structured talent development programmes that reflect the diversity and ambition of the APJC region.
  • Partner extensively with APJC Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, and Partner leadership to develop integrated strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Collaborate with AWS Global Service Teams to ensure APJC customer insights and requirements shape the global product roadmap.
  • Operate as a senior leader within the APJC Leadership Team, contributing to regional business strategy beyond the technology function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years leadership experience in a technical, customer-facing role within the technology industry
  • 15+ years of design, implementation or consulting experience with cloud native applications and architectures
  • Extensive people management experience
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
  • Familiarity with common enterprise services or platforms
  • Track record of presenting and influencing up to C level across technical and non-technical audiences
  • High degree of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Proven experience leading technical pre-sales or customer-facing technical organisations at scale across diverse, multi-country markets — ideally including experience in APJC or similarly complex international regions.
  • A strategic mindset that looks beyond technology to the business outcomes it enables — and the ability to translate that vision into executable go-to-market strategy.
  • Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing, inclusive teams of technical leaders in a fast-moving, matrixed environment.
