Key Responsibilities

  • Helping to refine investment strategy for One Infrastructure: terms, geography, opportunity universe etc.
  • To undertake the analyzing, originating, structuring, negotiating, recommending and when approved, closing new deals, including due diligence and legal documentation, in accordance to the Investment Strategy mandated by the Investment Committee.
  • To monitor all key markets to source for suitable investment opportunities and recommend suitable investment strategies that can help to deliver superior long-term risk adjusted returns.
  • To build and maintain relationships with investment partners, service providers, brokers and other real estate market participants in the targeted key markets.
  • To assist in generating market awareness of Keppel's investment mandate.
  • Plan and implement strategies around asset management and investment exits.
  • Responsible for periodic reporting, including quarterly investor, annual, and bespoke reports regarding assets
  • Benchmarking asset performance against the market to ensure that investment return targets are achieved.
  • To provide assistance to other specialist groups within Keppel Fund Management and Investment when required.
  • To provide guidance and mentoring to more junior members within the team.

Requirements

  • At least 8 -12 years of relevant investment experience in fund management or corporate finance/M&A in corporate principal investment team, specialising in power, energy and/or infrastructure
  • Strong academic qualifications
  • Proficient with market and industry research in infrastructure, or other private equity assets
  • Very hands-on and detailed-orientated, willing and able to get hands dirty, strong financial modelling skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast pace dynamic environment
  • Independent and critical thinker with exceptional analytical ability
  • The ability to make effective investment and asset management decisions
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to interact well with different functions and levels
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to communicate via Power Point, excel and orally
  • Willing to travel frequently to the various key markets
