Key Responsibilities
- Understand and clarify project contractual requirements and scope of work to form the contract basis with the Client.
- Prepare critical process philosophies, including Control and shutdown, Isolation, Sparing, P&ID, and Vent/Relief/Flare load calculations.
- Develop Process Simulation Heat and Mass Balances (H&M Sheets) and detailed engineering deliverables such as PFD, UFD, P&ID, Cause & Effect Diagrams, and Safe charts.
- Perform sizing calculations for equipment (Separators, Vessels, Storage tanks), line sizing, hydraulic analysis, and Flare Network design.
- Review vendor documents against project requirements and assist in concluding technical queries (TQs) with the Client.
- Coordinate process inputs with other engineering disciplines and conduct inter-disciplinary checks on deliverables like MEL, Electrical Load List, and various datasheets.
- Support the Lead Engineer in managing interfaces with hull and marine systems (Cargo, Utilities) and providing input for Operating/Commissioning manuals.
- Attend various project meetings (Client, inter-discipline) to address engineering issues and track action items.
- Provide process design support through all project stages: Detail Engineering, As-Built, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5 years of design working experience specifically within the Offshore industry.
- Proven experience in FEED and EPC engineering projects.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced project environment.
- Experience preparing process design reports, including Process System design reports and Utility summaries.
