Key Responsibilities
- Handle the day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities.
- Review and process Head Office expense claims for staff reimbursement.
- Review and ensure that payment requests submitted by Business Units are verified and approved for payment.
- Ensure that all approved payments are promptly and accurately effected to the vendors, subsidiaries, banks and regulatory authorities.
- Work with Business Units, Procurement authorities, Treasury and overseas stations to ensure smooth processing of payment functions.
- Provide guidance to business users with regards to Payments matter and compliance issues.
- Work with internal and external auditors during their audits of the section's processes and controls. Follow up on recommendations given.
- Handle ad-hoc projects, such as implementation or enhancements of IT systems, to improve processes.
- Department's representative for ad-hoc projects/exercises or administrative matters.
- Provide guidance to staff on work procedures relating to the use of systems and resolution of issues and problems. Monitor and assess staff performance.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification recognised by Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
