Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of duties to independently complete visual inspections on material which could cover cosmetic inspection, safety component inspection, dimensional inspection, etc.
- You may operate the CMM (Coordinate-Measuring Machine) and vision measurement equipment for material or production jig and fixture measurement, You read the specifications on the drawing, set up the measurement plan by using GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) and execute the measurement.
- Inspect for RoHS compliance using XRF - interpret and make decision based on the XRF data. You provide a detailed report to communicate the results of the measurements.
- Document, track and maintain inspection records including reporting abnormalities to ensure traceability and compliance. You design jigs, fixtures and templates for use as work aids in the part measurement.
- Actively look for opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of measurement methods and quality inspection process.
- Supporting the operation of measurement lab, including calibration/ preventive maintenance of the equipment and tools.
- To perform the equipment preventive maintenance, calibration or verification that needed to be done in-house, such as HPLC, Vacuum pump, etc.
- To support operation in Singapore Hardware Test Lab (HTL) as and when required.
- Ensure processes is in compliance with manufacturing practices, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and Agilent Quality Management System.
- Participate in root cause and problem solving for issues as required. Update work activities as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum higher education (O Levels or SPM). Specialized training/certification or Higher Nitec / Nitec or Diploma equivalent education preferred.
- 2+ years' experience in quality control/inspection.
- Proficient with the use of measurement equipment including create programme for equipment such as CMM, VisionScope; to train or assist other inspector as required.
- Proficient in interpreting drawings for dimensional requirement and experience in cosmetic inspection for precision machinery, sheet metal and plastic parts.
- Understanding and working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards for mechanical inspection activities.
- Clear written and verbal communication especially for inspection reporting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Strive for continuous improvement in quality and optimization of workflow. Ability to coordinate and prioritise assignments efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced, interrupt driven environment.
