Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional public policy strategy on connectivity and infrastructure policy issues
- Help national policy teams shape connectivity and infrastructure issues and product agendas with policymakers inside and outside of government
- Work with global teams and advise internal teams on public policy implications of products and wider company positions
Requirements
- 8+ years of legal and/or public policy experience
- Significant experience either working with or in government, politics, regulatory agencies or think tanks
- Experience working on telecoms, connectivity and infrastructure policy issues
- Knowledge of existing tech policy issues, especially those driving the policy debate about the future of connectivity and infrastructure in APAC and the role of large technology companies in this
- Understanding of how to translate technical issues into persuasive public policy advocacy
- Excellent command of the English language as this role will work closely with stakeholders whose usual business language is English
- Experience working with cross functional teams to devise and execute on public policy work
- Experience working on energy policy issues, particular as they relate to the infrastructure and products of large technology companies
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
