Key Responsibilities
- Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams across different engineering disciplines, both in-house and at the execution center in the region.
- Reviewing RFQ documents, interpreting PMS schematics and engineering IEC 61850-based systems (MMS and GOOSE) including PMS applications for load shedding, load sharing, Generator Control and synchronization.
- Designing and Implementing communication networks and schemes for PMS using industrial protocols such as RSTP, HSR, PRP, and MRP etc.
- Integrating LV/HV switchgear equipment using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet etc.
- Collaborating on factory acceptance test at different factories, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning at yards and offshore sites.
- Performing diagnostics and troubleshooting of communication networks using specialized tools (e.g. Wireshark, IED Scout, ITT).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology with a major in Electrical or Electronics.
- Proven hands-on experience in Automation projects across Oil & Gas or power industries.
- Familiarity with multiple IEC 61850 editions and cross-integration techniques.
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and their implementation.
- Experience with ABB 800xA with control builder, PMS library and OPC UA will be an added advantage.
- Self-motivated individual with good communication skills, eager to build lasting relationships with customers and global stakeholders.
