Key Responsibilities
- Identify deliverables, milestones and interdependencies with other WP’s
- Establish the schedule and estimates based on a viable solution and resource availability
- Initialise the risk and opportunity register and work package baseline using key project tools
- Achieve work package objectives and correct deviations from baseline
- Monitor and consolidate all deliverables, update schedule, risk & opportunities register, ETC & EAC
- Consolidate the work package dashboard and lead progress meetings
- Lead liaison with Engineering Delivery Managers, Project Managers and Functional heads
- Collect, analyse and synthesise lessons learned and organise work package closure
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related fields
- Project Management qualification or certification (PMBOK preferred)
- Experience delivering software‑centric, mission‑critical or high‑availability IT systems in a safety‑critical environment
- Understanding of Earned Value Management, Work Package Control and reporting with exposure to scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera
- Financial and budgetary management of engineering work packages
- Advanced reporting and stakeholder management skills
- Strong customer engagement and negotiation skills
- Solid experience leading and mentoring teams of 3‑10 people
- Experience negotiating with suppliers
- Proficiency with collaboration tools including Jira and Confluence
