Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair or overhaul of mtu engines and associated equipment at customer locations or in the workshop.
- Manage field service jobs according to approved work orders, technical manuals, and company procedures to ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct system acceptance tests with customers or their representatives, including performance verification and completion of required documentation.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate technical service reports, investigation summaries, corrective action reports, travel reports, and job completion documentation.
- Ensure all service activities comply with workplace safety and health regulations and company WSH policies.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism while representing the mtu and Rolls-Royce brand during customer engagements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in the diesel engine or generator industry.
- Proven experience in servicing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and project execution activities.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for professional customer engagement.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required.
- Comfortable working in field conditions and responding to service calls at short notice.
