Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall cost control strategy, frameworks, and process to ensure effective financial oversight across projects and departments.
  • Establish and maintain robust cost control policies, reporting standards, and governance practices aligned with corporate finance objectives

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for cost optimisation and resource allocation.
  • Drive the preparation of monthly and quarterly management cost reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Communicate key financial metrics and cost performance indicators to senior leadership.
  • Provide decision – support analysis for strategic initiatives, tender evaluations, and investment proposals.
  • Lead, coach, and development a team of cost control professionals, building capability in cost analytics, governance and reporting.
  • Promote cross- functional collaboration with Finance, Procurement, Project Control, and Business Control teams.
  • Champion a culture of cost discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement across functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a strong focus on financial reporting and compliance.
  • Proven experience managing accounts of large and complex entities
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a demonstrated desire to probe deeper into data to uncover insights that reveal underlying issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Experience in the offshore, marine or energy industries and accounting knowledge of long-term construction contracts are highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; Experience with SAP S4 Hana and Power Query is a plus.
