Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission CCTV systems (IP/analog cameras, NVR/VMS, storage units)
- Install and commission Access Control systems (readers, controllers, door hardware, credentialing systems)
- Configure Intrusion Detection and alarm systems
- Integrate security systems with network infrastructure and third‑party platforms
- Conduct system testing, verification, point‑to‑point checks, and acceptance tests
- Ensure all work complies with security industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and local regulations
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for all electronic security systems
- Diagnose and resolve faults in cameras, access control panels, sensors, controllers, servers, and network devices
- Handle VMS issues including storage failures, video loss, analytics errors, and system slowdowns
- Execute firmware updates, backups, and software patching
- Respond to critical incidents and provide timely on‑site support
- Review system logs, events, alarms, and analytics trends to identify performance issues
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, IT, Security Technology, or related engineering field
- 2–5 years experience in Security System service roles preferred
- Strong knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and VMS technologies
- Experience in network fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, switches, PoE)
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices related to physical security systems
- Ability to read electrical drawings, security schematics, and network diagrams
- Hands‑on experience with low‑voltage electrical work and structured cabling
- Vendor or system certifications (advantageous): Milestone, Genetec, Axis, Bosch, Hanwha, Pelco, Kantech, Lenel, C•Cure, HID, Inner Range
- Strong communication and customer-handling abilities
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and respond under pressure
