About the role
AI summarisedThe Senior Process Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving semiconductor manufacturing processes, particularly in epitaxy, using statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE), and metrology tools. They ensure process stability, yield improvement, and equipment qualification while collaborating with equipment and manufacturing teams to meet uptime, OEE, and quality standards. The role includes training technicians, maintaining documentation, and adhering to EHSS and TS16949 requirements.

- Monitor critical SPC charts daily, perform process window studies, and implement improvement plans to reduce OOC and improve Cpk
- Analyze split lot, DOE, ET, and sort yield data using JMP and Klarity ACE; create SPC charts and modify SLDB using PROMIS (Si-View)
- Setup, troubleshoot, and qualify new processes and equipment; work with Equipment Engineers on acceptance and R&R runs
- Participate in CIP programs, cross-functional teams, and wafer scrap reduction; provide training to AEs/Techs on troubleshooting and risk assessment
Requirements
- Strong understanding of epitaxial growth principles (homoepitaxy, heteroepitaxy, selective epitaxy, stress engineering)
- Familiarity with RTP processes and metrology techniques for epi layer characterization
- Proficiency in SPC tools (SPACE, JMP) and FMEA analysis
- Knowledge of wafer fabrication flow and module interactions
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field; 1-2 years experience in semiconductor epitaxy processes
