Key Responsibilities

  • Anchoring ILS domain expertise for NSM under SMRT, from induction to Operation & Maintenance (O&M) to retirement.
  • Driving the concepts, plans and processes to effectively maintain, operate and sustain NSM Systems operated by the SMRT TRAINS.
  • Driving system-level integration of new capabilities on all Transport & Trainer platform types operated by the SMRT TRAINS.
  • Directing the development of robust and effective maintenance concepts for all NSM Systems operated by the SMRT TRAINS.
  • Providing advice for all life cycle support, supply chain management and system management of NSM Systems operated by the SMRT TRAINS.
  • Developing long term strategies (beyond 5 years) for the development of NSM Systems through relationship management with SMRT stakeholders, Authority, and external industries/suppliers.
  • Working with the Project Team in ensuring seamless renewal through tightly integrated induction and retirement plans.
  • Supporting the BUs on Project Justification Papers (PJP) and Master Replacement Program (MRP) requirements.
  • Strategizing and driving the development of the Integrated Product Support Plan with the Project Team.
  • Overseeing resource planning to optimize the system availability by maintaining a holistic overview of the supply chain requirement.
  • Working with the SMRT BUs to develop obsolescence management strategies to ensure sustainable support for the intended service life.
  • Spearheading the development of Integrated Product Support Plan for all NSM Systems projects or acquisition programs.

Requirements

  • Requires Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree with 5 - 8 years of prior relevant experience in maintenance environment.
  • Have prior operational experience in 1st line (e.g., Organisational / frontline) and 2nd line (e.g., Intermediate / workshop) maintenance.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and have prior knowledge of Reliability Engineering (e.g., MTBF, MTTR).
  • Prior knowledge in Management Information System (MIS) such as SAP or Maximo.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Candidate should have strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to develop affinity with various stakeholders.
  • Experiences in Maintenance Repair Process, or Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), or Spares Modelling is a plus.
  • Possess expertise and experience in understanding the principles behind various contracting mechanisms such as Performance-Based Contacting (PBL) also known as Long-Term Service Support (LTSS) and Framework Agreements.
  • Possess strong inter-personal skills to influence and shape collaborative relationships with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
