BusinessFull-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end capacity management and planning across air, ocean, and ground transportation for AWS Cloud Logistics — developing and executing multi-modal freight forecasting models that incorporate demand signals, seasonality, and project pipelines to proactively scale carrier and vendor capacity in line with AWS's infrastructure growth.
  • Lead carrier and vendor capacity negotiations, allocation planning, and performance management, establishing SLAs and contractual frameworks that optimize cost, reliability, and flexibility — and holding partners accountable through rigorous business reviews (QBRs/MBRs) and data-backed corrective action plans.
  • Define and drive the KPI framework for forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, cost-per-unit, and on-time performance — diving deep into data to identify root causes, surface actionable insights, and deliver measurable year-over-year improvements in cost efficiency and operational resilience.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate capacity risks by monitoring global freight market dynamics, carrier performance trends, and geopolitical factors — owning scenario planning and contingency playbooks that ensure business continuity through peak periods, supply disruptions, and capacity constraints.
  • Influence cross-functional partners across AWS infrastructure, procurement, finance, and operations to align transportation capacity plans with broader supply chain strategies and budget targets — driving alignment on trade-offs between cost, speed, and risk across competing priorities.
  • Build scalable, repeatable planning mechanisms by partnering with technology and analytics teams to automate forecasting workflows, develop dashboards, and eliminate manual processes — while raising the bar on analytical rigor and operational excellence within the Capacity Management & Planning pillar.
