Key Responsibilities

  • Directly manage supply of a key outsourced module/component that feeds into an Applied Materials tool

  • Manage market share allocations across assigned supplier(s)/programs

  • Facilitate internal stakeholder discussions with suppliers to address issues gating supplier builds (e.g., BOM inaccuracies, engineering spec waivers, rework orders)
  • Facilitate seamless transition from end-of-life material to replacement material through close collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Support inventory management programs (e.g., consignment, VMI, aged WIP management, safety stock)
  • Work in MRP or similar demand/supply planning system to procure materials for manufacturing assembly, integration, test, or customer spares
  • Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders, and communicate regularly with suppliers on demand forecasting
  • Provide timely updates of supplier commits to internal customers via PO promise date, PROMPT, and War room files

Requirements

  • Experience in supply chain management, preferably in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing
  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and drive performance improvements
  • Strong understanding of MRP, ERP, or similar demand/supply planning systems
  • Experience with purchase order management, BOM maintenance, and PPV request handling
  • Skilled in inventory management practices (e.g., consignment, VMI, safety stock, aged WIP)
  • Ability to conduct supplier audits and assess material inventory positions
  • Experience in logistics coordination and cost optimization (e.g., ocean freight, trucking)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to influence internal and external partners
  • Problem-solving aptitude for addressing supply disruptions, BOM issues, and engineering change impacts
  • Experience supporting AP dispute resolution and Receiving Variant Notices (RVNs)
  • Ability to travel to supplier sites as needed for audits and build progress reviews
  • Experience driving cross-functional process improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and tooling components
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills for maintaining accurate material and supplier data
