Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor on General Cargo vessel operations especially for pure steel vessels.
  • Work with Shift Lead on GC vessel to drive productivity, update balances of cargo, management of vessel departure time and calculation of vessel productivity rates.
  • Compile and update GC manager on progress of every pure steel vessel and update the hourly performance of vessel operations, escalation if necessary.
  • Prepare and Submission of reports such as Vessel Productivity Report, Novade Report, List of Vessel Report and etc.
  • Take lead in managing pilotage timing with Shipping Agents and PSA Marine.
  • Collate and prepare reports from vessel stowage photo from operations and follow up with Agents/Business Unit/Planners/Shift Lead on the stowage non-compliance.
  • Follow up with agent on submission of vessel documents such as stowage plan, manifest, hatch list, packing list and update in system.
  • Monitoring of hourly rain detector system and follow up with Technical Services for any system error.
  • Main person responsible for operation planning during its respective shift and work closely with shift GC Ops, Berthing & Yard teams to optimize overall resources and vessel operational flow.
  • Execute day-to-day tasks such as reports, planning and coordinate with the normal shift planning Team.
  • Handling issues and drive productivity by arranging vessel operation planning sequence with agent and stevedores to minimise overall vessel port stay.
  • Perform administrative duties and ad-hoc task as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Maritime/Logistic/Supply Chain or equivalent.
  • Good proficiency in excel, words, powerpoint and handle system applications.
  • Knowledge in data analysis will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Logistic, Supply Chain and Port Operations.
  • Willing to perform shift duties (12 Hours rotating shift) and able to change to normal shift hours if required.
  • Fast learner, able to multitask and Team player.
