Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on OCC signalling equipment including database systems, servers, and networking
- Manage daily maintenance activities and monitor status of CCL Maintenance Field Service works
- Create and review documentation such as Work Instructions (WI) and Quality Procedures (QP)
- Lead response and recovery actions including deployment of field service teams and technical fault-finding investigations
- Provide technical advice to management and stakeholders concerning network readiness and operability
- Coordinate with external parties such as LTA, MHA, and contractors while reviewing Permit-To-Work applications
- Participate in the inspection, testing, and commissioning of new or upgraded systems
- Assist in budget forecasting and tracking for the OCC Signal branch
- Uphold safety missions and ensure compliance with safety procedures among the staff
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a recognized equivalent
- Previous experience within the railway industry is highly advantageous
- Knowledge of IT systems including servers, networking, and client/server communication
- Familiarity with IT security and general computer applications such as Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong technical troubleshooting and data analysis capabilities
- Excellent multitasking, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to respond to emergency recalls and present investigation outcomes to senior management
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
