Key Responsibilities

  • Lead / support the technical execution and delivery of projects in thermoforming, composite moulding or polymer melt-flow processes
  • Prepare 2D & 3D CAD drawings for component and tooling
  • Conduct prototype fabrication, pre-production fitment trials, product quality control and laboratory tests, to ensure timely project delivery

  • Conduct part failure analysis and FE simulations as required for product redesign and improvement projects
  • Maintain accurate records of production work orders, laboratory data, methodologies, results and technical drawings
  • Prepare presentation and reports, research project proposals and risk assessment/ safe work procedure documents
  • Support in the sourcing, quotation and procurement of project consumables and services
  • Lead/Support the innovation and development of other polymer process technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Material Science & Engineering or equivalent
  • Proficiency in using CAD software with at least 1 year experience in mechanical design
  • Comfortable with handling heavy equipment operations, conduct physical experiment work and process troubleshooting
  • Prior hands-on experience in polymeric material processing, specifically in thermoforming, injection moulding or composite processing, will be highly advantageous
  • Strong willingness to acquire new knowledge and skills, including material testing, design of jigs for part testing, Singapore Airworthiness Regulation requirements, etc
  • Exemplary attention to detail and technically inclined towards process and laboratory work
  • Comfortable with customer/vendor interactions and adept in handling project negotiations
  • Basic knowledge in finite element structural modelling or any experience in process simulation (optional)
