Key Responsibilities

  • Assess regional risks in Asia and propose appropriate plans, resource localization, training programs, and HSE targets to the Operations Director.
  • Ensure the cascading of corporate function targets, information, and best practices across the Asia network of HSE professionals.
  • Mentor and coach HSE managers and coordinators to accelerate their professional development and drive transformation.
  • Monitor improvement plans and KPIs against annual HSE targets, alerting the Operations Director to potential risks.
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve site and operational HSE strategies in line with Thales Group standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Support regulatory compliance assessment of products (e.g., REACH, RoHS, PFAS) and collaborate on eco-design and circular economy initiatives.
  • Coordinate and deploy the Business Continuity Management (BCM) program across Asia, including BIA, BCP, ERP, and DRP maintenance.
  • Support the Crisis Management Team in response to unforeseen events that could cause business disruptions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in health, safety, and environment management.
  • Proven HSE leadership experience within oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated track record in leading HSE teams to deliver sustainable performance improvements.
  • Proven success leading cultural transformation across multi-site operations.
  • Executive-level stakeholder engagement experience required.
  • Deep experience in safety management systems and comprehensive risk management.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable local, national, and international HSE laws and regulations.
