Key Responsibilities
- Own overall test architecture, validation strategy and quality system for enterprise SSD firmware
- Design and implement test solutions covering functionality, performance, reliability, QoS, PLP, FTL, GC, power and security
- Build and optimize automation test framework, long-stability test system and CI/CD pipeline to support mass validation
- Lead root cause analysis and closure of critical FW issues including hang, drop, performance degradation and compatibility problems
- Participate in product architecture review and provide technical suggestions on FW design, NAND selection and reliability targets
- Drive test team capability improvement, process optimization and technical standardization
- Track new storage technologies: PCIe 5.0/6.0, NVMe 2.0, ZNS, CXL, automotive and industrial storage
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Microelectronics or related fields with at least 8 years of SSD firmware test/development experience; or minimum 3 years as test architect or technical leader
- Deep expertise in NVMe/PCIe/SATA protocols and SSD core technologies: FTL, GC, WL, PLP, NAND Flash
- Proficient in Linux, Python/C/Shell, automation framework development and test tools (Fio, nvme-cli, PyNVMe, etc.)
- Experience in HW/FW co-debugging, reliability validation and mass production test system
- Strong architecture design, problem-solving and cross-team leadership skills
- Experience in enterprise/data center/automotive SSD, ZNS, CXL, NVMe-oF, Secure Boot or ASIL
- Led end-to-end test system/team setup for mass production
- Storage-related patents or publications
