Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Line Maintenance to 'Meet & Greet' arriving and departing aircraft to review incoming and critical defects, and to provide on-site technical support when required.
- Provide on-site technical support during transit, pre-departure call backs, flight delays and Aircraft-on-grounds (AOGs) in Singapore and overseas.
- Assist with technical support for defect troubleshooting and rectification.
- Raise Technical Requests (as applicable) to Airbus or Boeing for troubleshooting recommendations, and to contact Airbus or Boeing regarding AOG matters when necessary.
- Liaise and discuss with SIA Technical Services for trouble shooting advice and provide feedback on technical defects for further follow-up by SIA Technical Services.
- Attend daily production meeting.
- Monitor aircraft/flight status.
- Review work plan daily on maintenance task execution for aircraft taking into consideration of adequate ground time and resources availability and if required, to make recommendations on aircraft rotations.
- Such other duties as assigned by Manager Technical Services or Vice President Technical Services & Planning.
Requirements
- Honors Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in airline operations and/or aircraft maintenance is preferred.
- Perform shift work to support aircraft operational schedule.
- Excellent team player with analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Possess Class 3 Driving License
