Key Responsibilities
- Manage Mechanical System Operations & Reliability: Oversee operation of mechanical system including cleanroom, Chiller, Cooling tower, HVAC, CRAC, PCW, CDA, Process Vacuum, Exhausts, Fire protection, ensuring adherence to industry standards, environmental regulations, and internal quality requirements. Monitor system performance metrics and troubleshooting issues to maintain continuous and efficient operations.
- Mechanical Contracts Management: Renew mechanical system service contracts and oversee in-house contractors to ensure compliance with service standards and contractual obligations.
- Maintenance and Spare parts Control: Manage Operations & Maintenance of mechanical systems and monitor spare parts inventory to minimize operational risks.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date mechanical system documentation, including drawings and technical reports; prepare and submit related reports, including those required by authorities for approved/granted projects.
- Team Development: Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives for mechanical system efficiency, sustainability, and cost reduction.
- Lead Mechanical System Projects: Plan and execute improvement initiatives—including upgrades, expansions, retrofits, and energy-saving projects—from feasibility study through design review, execution, commissioning, & final buy-off.
- Resolve Technical Issues & Coordinate Stakeholders: Address technical queries, resolve installation/testing challenges, and maintain close coordination with contractors and project teams.
- Ensure Design & Construction Quality: Validate designs, monitor site work through regular walkdowns, and ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and approved methods.
- Energy, Performance & Lifecycle Optimization: Analyze and improve mechanical system performance, including chiller plant efficiency, compressor system efficiency, HVAC effectiveness, exhaust and MAU system equipment aging and efficiency, etc. Identify and implement mechanical design or operational improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a related field.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities for cross-department and authority collaboration.
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and high sense of responsibility.

- Ability to review and evaluate mechanical designs, layouts, and vendor proposals for mechanical systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate technical concepts clearly to operations and maintenance teams.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, including cleanroom HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, piping, heat exchangers, exhaust, and process vacuum systems.
