Key Responsibilities
- Operates, monitors, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces facilities mechanical components and systems including electrical equipment, HVAC, chemical, energy, ultra pure water, and wastewater treatment
- Hires and oversees outside contractors such as electricians, plumbers, elevator repairmen, grounds maintenance workers, painters, and roofers
- Maintains and secures facilities equipment assets and develops/implements capital improvement projects including construction, remodeling, renovation, and maintenance of buildings and facilities
- Conducts periodic inspections of work in progress, advises supervisors and contractors on plans and specifications, and inspects existing facilities to prepare condition reports with repair recommendations and cost estimates
- Performs all activities safely and in compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Around 3 years of experience in handling facilities on mechanical fronts
- Hands-on experience with chiller and pump systems
- Ability to manage plumbers and contractors onsite
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with an analytical mindset to translate business needs into technical requirements
