Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop QC Managers, supervisors, and laboratory teams to ensure analytical testing (physical, chemical, microbiological), data review, and equipment compliance with SOPs in a safe manner.
  • Ensure all laboratory quality systems comply with GLPs, GDPs, cGMPs, and Pfizer Quality Standards (PQS).
  • Develop and manage integrated Quality Systems and provide technical advice on QC matters to site areas including Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Process Development.
  • Establish and implement QC Laboratory quality systems and monitoring strategies for performance management and benchmarking, including SOP review and approval.
  • Manage QC personnel, projects, and ensure quality risks associated with laboratory operations are correctly assessed and managed.
  • Manage chemical and microbiological analytical services for internal/external customers, ensuring accurate testing of materials to support GMP usage decisions.
  • Develop and manage the operating budget and capital expenditure proposals for the laboratory.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, leading initiatives to improve safety performance and handling EHS investigations as needed.
  • Oversee the strategy and execution of Analytical Method Transfer Exercises (AMTE) for new products, including method development/validation/verification.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and implementing best practices in QC Laboratories.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior management, auditors, and regulators through written and oral communication.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and develop technical teams.
  • Proficiency in Project Management.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements for QC functions.
