Key Responsibilities

  • Identify tax planning strategies, including recommending of tax-efficient corporate structures for existing business, new ventures within legally satisfactory parameters for our businesses in Asia Pacific
  • Research, analyze, reason, interpret and evaluate changing tax legislations and practices and the impact on businesses
  • Analyze complex tax issues and recommend practical and strategic solutions
  • Review transactions, contracts and provide timely and effective Tax advice
  • Establish corporate and financing structures to maximize after-tax value while maintaining responsible corporate citizenship
  • Defend tax audits and handle tax litigation

Requirements

  • Competent tax professional with minimum 10 years of post-qualification commercial experience with MNC and/or major accounting firm
  • Exposure and experience with multiple jurisdictions in Asia Pacific
  • Tax/Accountancy/ Finance undergraduate degree from well recognized universities
  • Experience with international tax rules and regional cross-border transactions
  • Demonstrated experience with developing tax planning advice and leading discussions with clients
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Shares knowledge to develop capabilities of the whole team
  • Oil & gas or Trading industries experience
  • Experience with Australia and Papua New Guinea jurisdictions will be highly regarded
