Key Responsibilities

Review General Ledger activities and monthly closing for APAC regional offices in accordance with the close calendar
Collaborate with corporate accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate monthly accounting close
Improve month-end close process and reporting cycles for timely and accurate reporting
Analyze accounts and prepare/review monthly account reconciliations
Review monthly/quarterly corporate reporting for statutory compliance with IFRS and local GAAP
Coordinate and manage annual statutory audits with auditors
Support internal audits to ensure record keeping and sound corporate governance
Ensure timely delivery of regulatory reporting and statistical surveys
Support technical accounting and system improvement projects on an ad-hoc basis

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or equivalent professional qualification (e.g. CA)
8 years of working experience preferably in a multinational manufacturing company and CPA firm
ERP work knowledge
Semiconductor industry knowledge is advantageous
Prior experience leading engagement with auditors and managing annual statutory audits
Familiarity with close processes in a global ERP environment
Work-level understanding of effective internal controls and SOX compliance
Knowledge of IFRS standards
Knowledge of APAC entities’ GAAP (e.g. FRS) is advantageous
Strong communication skills with fluency in English for international environments
Demonstrated ability to work across borders and cultures
Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
