Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Industry 4.0 and lights-out automation strategy aligned with business objectives
- Develop departmental plans including business, production, operational and organizational priorities
- Drive long-term technology vision, innovation adoption, and cross-site alignment
- Lead teams in implementing and sustaining Robotics automation, Material transportation automation, Process automation, and factory system automation solutions
- Identify automation opportunities with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams
- Develop business cases and ROI models for automation initiatives
- Evaluate and recommend technologies that improve manufacturing efficiency, yield, stability, and quality
- Oversee budgets, resources, and project timelines across multiple concurrent automation projects
- Ensure high-availability, fault-tolerant design of automation systems
- Lead incident and problem management, including root cause analysis and 24/7 support escalation plans
- Lead and mentor automation engineers and technical leaders, fostering professional growth and a high-trust, high-performance culture
- Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and proactive exploration of emerging technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related field
- 15+ years of semiconductor automation experience focused on lights-out manufacturing, factory systems, and digital transformation
- Minimum 5 years in leadership
- Proven success leading regional/cross-site teams and collaborating with vendors and partners
- Strong understanding of backend processes, WIP flow, and production workflow optimization
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and operational management skills
- Ability to simplify complex concepts, resolve competing priorities, and drive data-based decisions
- Demonstrated capability in continuous improvement, waste elimination, and system optimization
