Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Design For Manufacturability (DFM) and Design For Yield (DFY) through close coordination with internal AMD teams and external suppliers during NPI introduction.
- Ensure consistent large-scale production of complex cooling architectures, such as microchannel cold plates.
- Establish manufacturing readiness regarding processes, equipment, and control setups prior to product launch.
- Drive suppliers on issue resolution, issue prevention, and continuous process improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
- Plan and execute change management originating from either internal or external parties.
- Drive suppliers to establish manufacturing analytics to prevent issue excursions.
- Manage regional supplier performance to ensure Key Performance Indices (KPIs) are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science.
- Commitment to meeting deadlines and leading solutions in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Excellent cross-functional project management and conflict management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to think outside the box to challenge current processes for cost and efficiency improvements.
