Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the latest iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch hardware/software systems in the field from early prototype to final products.
  • Conduct very early evaluations of prototypes and hardware systems on different wireless technologies.
  • Create, evolve, and analyze performance metrics from field testing.
  • Perform post-processing and analysis of device logs collected from the field.
  • Run focused experiments related to RF/OTA performance, acoustics, thermals, GPS, and NFC validation.
  • Collaborate with HW/SW development teams and cross-functional groups to identify wireless performance issues.
  • Perform deep dive analysis into internal logs to determine the root cause of any hardware or system issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent major.
  • 1-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing of cellular technologies.
  • Proficiency in test plan preparation, field testing, log analysis, and debugging User Equipment (UE) issues.
  • Working knowledge in at least one wireless technology: 5G NR, LTE/LTE-A, or UMTS.
  • Proven ability to own a complete functional area of an application or product with clear cross-organizational communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to travel locally and internationally.
