Key Responsibilities

  • Convert lab-scale ideas into mass-produced parts
  • Work closely with internal teams (design, operation) and external vendors/contract manufacturers
  • Deliver active alignment solutions for new optical modules from engineering to mass production phases
  • Develop new equipment (new machine model/variant), process recipes, and validation/control methods
  • Deploy solutions at contract manufacturer sites
  • Improve process efficiency and yield through DOE and bottleneck analysis
  • Translate optical design documents into alignment and process requirements
  • Enable equipment and process transition from prototype build to mass production phase

Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master/PhD in Engineering, Physics, or Materials or equivalent
  • Expertise in either optics attach (active alignment) process or optical functionality test of optical devices (e.g., camera, projector, range finder, flashlight, proximity sensor)
  • Experience in tooling-up existing process machines for new optical devices (>3 years)
  • Experience in improving process efficiency and yield (e.g., DOE, machine bottleneck analysis) (>3 years)
  • Clear and effective communication (written, in person, and virtual) skill
  • Licensed to operate laser (e.g., Singapore NEA N3 license) [Preferred]
  • Experience in developing new mass production equipment and process for new optical devices [Preferred]
  • Experience in translating optical design documents to alignment and process requirements [Preferred]
  • Expertise in optical domain to understand/read optical design documents [Preferred]
  • Expertise in electrical/electronic field to understand/read EE design documents [Preferred]
  • Experience in enabling equipment and process from prototype build to mass production phase [Preferred]
