Key Responsibilities
- Identifies new business opportunities in offshore substation projects, including HVAC and HVDC solutions.
- Analyses market trends, competitor positioning, and upcoming regional and global project developments.
- Executes regional and global market entry strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with offshore wind developers, utilities, transmission operators, and key business partners such as OEMs, fabricators, and installation contractors.
- Acts as the primary commercial interface with clients during early project development stages prior to ITT or RFP issuance.
- Tracks upcoming tenders and project pipelines to support business growth planning.
- Qualifies leads and aligns business opportunities with company capabilities and strategic objectives.
- Maintains CRM systems and prepares pipeline and market reports for management review.
- Defines value propositions for offshore substation and related energy solutions.
- Supports pre-tender activities, including budgetary proposals, concept studies, early contractor involvement (ECI), RFIs, and EOIs.
- Work closely with engineering, tendering, and project execution teams to ensure alignment between client needs and technical solutions.
- Facilitates internal communication to support successful project development and delivery.
Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years and above of experience in business development, market development, or commercial roles within offshore, and onshore energy (O&G and renewables) projects.
- Good understanding of offshore vessels, offshore platforms, and onshore facilities, including EPCI or EPC project environments.
- Familiarity with offshore wind, substations (HVAC/HVDC), or energy infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Ability to engage and build relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders across technical and commercial teams.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with confidence in client-facing roles.
- Commercial mindset with basic knowledge of market analysis, tender pipelines, and project development stages.
- Well-organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/market tracking tools.
