Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide a team of engineers and assistant engineers in day-to-day operations and long-term planning
- Develop team competencies through coaching, mentoring and performance evaluations
- Allocate resources effectively to meet operational and project targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments (e.g., Projects, Operations, SCADA) for integrated operations
- Involve in project discussion, planning and execution of electrical assets including HV/LV switchgears, UPS and power distribution systems
- Ensure operational reliability and contingency planning during project execution
- Coordinate and review switching arrangements between PSCO and Projects
- Oversee electrical design reviews, system studies and commissioning activities
- Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, electrical codes, and safety requirements
- Champion safe work practices, including Permit-to-Work systems and electrical isolation protocols
- Participate in audits, investigations and root cause analysis of incidents
Requirements
- Technician Electrical License (LEW Grade 8 or above) would be an added advantage
- Preferably with 4 or more years of electrical working experience
- With self-motivation, always striving to improve or meet a standard of excellence
- Able to lead by example
- Able to communicate effectively and work as a team
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS PowerPoint, MS Words & MS Excel)
- Able to read and interpret single-line diagrams
