Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and map key policy stakeholders relevant to Temasek's projects and interests
  • Develop and support stakeholder engagement strategies to build strategic relationships with key stakeholders
  • Plan, organise and manage SGM's stakeholder engagement platforms
  • Support the team in monitoring, analysing and assessing relevant public policies and their opportunities for Temasek and our ecosystem, as well as managing public policy positions across various domains

Requirements

  • Degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Law, Business Management, Economics, or a related field
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in government relations or public policy, with knowledge of protocol management
  • Experience in strategy work within a government agency or corporate is advantageous
  • Possess a deep interest and ability to understand how policies, business, finance, sustainability (including energy, carbon services, agrifood), technology and innovation (including AI, blockchain, cybersecurity, data centres and quantum), workforce, as well as international relations, are interconnected, which are pertinent issues that have an impact on our projects and initiatives
  • Keen interest in translating policy/regulatory engagements into commercial outcomes
  • Strong analytical, presentation (written and oral), and project management skills
  • Experience in events content curation and management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build relationships and networks with counterparts in the public and private sectors
  • Ability to work effectively with various internal teams, including Investment, Portfolio Development, and Emerging Technologies Groups, to represent the company's positions on various policy issues
  • Resourceful, with the ability to work and problem-solve rather independently
  • Ability to multi-task and pay exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
