Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Process Safety, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in technical safety engineering with a focus on offshore wind, offshore substations, or new energy projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety standards relevant to the offshore wind industry, including IEC 61400 and specific offshore substation safety requirements.
  • Proven experience managing safety aspects of offshore substation engineering (HV electrical safety, lightning protection, ESD systems).
  • Strong background in safety study methodologies such as HAZOP, HAZID, and QRA for New Energies.
  • Experience developing and reviewing safety cases, fire protection strategies, and emergency response plans for offshore wind farms.
  • Proficiency in safety analysis software used in the offshore wind sector (e.g., DNV GL Synergi Life or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities under tight deadlines.
