Key Responsibilities
- Execute General Ledger activities and monthly closing activities for APAC regional offices in accordance with the close calendar
- Collaborate closely with corporate accounting teams and work across functions and stakeholders to ensure timely monthly accounting close
- Improve month-end close process and reporting cycles for timely and accurate reporting
- Prepare/review monthly/quarterly corporate reporting consistent with IFRS, GlobalFoundries policies, and local GAAP (e.g., FRS)
- Coordinate and manage annual statutory audits, liaise with auditors, and ensure timely completion of the audit process
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting/Business/Finance or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g., CA)
- Minimum 6 years of working experience, preferably in a multinational manufacturing company or CPA firm
- ERP work knowledge is advantageous
- Semiconductor industry knowledge is advantageous
- Familiarity with close processes in an ERP environment and preparation/review of monthly financial statements
- Working knowledge of effective internal controls and SOX compliance
- Knowledge of IFRS standards and APAC entities’ GAAP (e.g., FRS)
- Strong communication skills: fluent English, clarity in speech and writing
- Demonstrated ability to work across borders, cultures, and organizational hierarchies
